Awesome photos of the Opening Reception of my Gallery Show

Hello all!

So, the opening reception for the gallery show I'm a part of ( not too high, not too low ) was a blast! It took me a while to get comfortable talking about my work, but once that happened I had a lot of fun. I was super worried beforehand that my pieces wouldn't stack up compared to everyone else's but people really seemed to dig them. I even sold some stuff! I genuinely loved all the work in the show, the curator (Amy Lokoff) did a really great job finding the right people and utilizing the space to high light the art. Below are some photos from the show:

These record covers were painted and converted into a comic about opening a vinyl shop and the imagery was AMAZING.

Me at the show. I had a job in interview earlier that day so I couldn't dress as balls to the wall glitter as I wanted to.

 All of the artists!

All of the artists!

The show is going on until April 13th at the Pyramid Atlantic, so if you are near Hyattsville MD you should check it out (Also, Hyattsville is cool as fuck, "Who would have guessed?" says me, the DC city snob that never went anywhere outside the city).

As part of the exhibit there will be a DIY Zine work shop on the 25th (go to that if you are not coming to NYC Feminist Zinefest to see me) and I along with the women in the show will be on a panel on April 7th. Look at my calendar for more info about where I'll be through out the year.
